Since June of 2015 Mindful City Ann Arbor, The Ann Arbor Center for Mindfulness and The Ark have collaborated to offer a weekly 1/2 hour sit. Free of charge and open to the public, this sit has no religious affiliation and is led by experienced meditation instructors. No experience necessary. During The Ark's closure because of the Coronavirus precautions we will offer the sessions via video, on the Zoom platform. Link below.  More info here.

November Campfire Meditation -- NEW DATE!

Location:  County Farm Park - Medford Pavilion

So much of Autumn is about letting go- trees let go of their leaves, flowers let go of their petals, animals let go of the lazy, summer days, birds let go of their summer homes and fly south. Join us for a campfire where we will let go of our daily stresses, enjoy traditional herbal tea, and enjoy quiet, meditative reflection. Led by Elle Bogle and Julie Woodward of Mindful City Ann Arbor. Please bring a mask and something to sit on, such as a towel or camp chair. How can we meet the challenges of living in today’s world with a sense of resilience and hope?   2020 has unfolded in series of converging crises, leaving many of us feeling overwhelmed, in grief and uncertainty about both the present and the future. This webinar class is designed to support participants in cultivating the skills to stay centered during times of turmoil and to enhance resilience as we connect in community.

 

This webinar class will include:

* Yoga movement, breath and meditation practices to cultivate resilience.

* Guided inquiry and discussion of our current “predicament” and how we wish to move into the future.
